Restoration Milling

At May Creek Dental Studio, we begin with an in-depth examination and a conversation about your needs. Dr. Chen can then explain whether a crown, filling, bridge, or another treatment is appropriate.

Dr. Chen earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and completed his dental training at the University of Utah with honors. He continued his education through postgraduate training with respected dentists and multiple courses focused on advances in dental care.
He is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. The former practice website states that this designation is held by only 6% of dentists.

For eligible crown cases, digital scanning and in-office milling can reduce the need for conventional impressions, temporary restorations, and separate fabrication visits. That can make treatment easier to fit around work, family responsibilities, and travel through the I-405 corridor.
Appointments are available Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday visits are available by appointment only.
When a patient needs to replace a missing tooth rather than restore an existing one, Dr. Chen may discuss dental bridges as part of the available restorative options.
For applicable cases, same-day dental crowns are digitally designed and milled in the office, allowing the restoration to be created during one appointment.
May Creek Dental Studio uses CEREC technology, digital intraoral scanning, 3D imaging, and an in-office milling machine for applicable dental restorations.
Instead of taking conventional impressions, the digital scanner records the shape of your teeth. The restoration can then be designed digitally and milled from porcelain in the office. For eligible cases, this process can eliminate the need for a temporary restoration and a separate placement visit.
Not every tooth or restoration follows the same process. Dr. Chen determines the appropriate treatment after examining your tooth and discussing your needs.
May Creek Dental Studio accepts most insurance plans. Coverage for a dental crown depends on the patient’s plan and benefits, so patients should confirm their individual coverage before treatment.
Available payment methods include cash, checks, and credit cards. Patients can also ask about insurance and financing options, including CareCredit, Cherry financing, and monthly payment arrangements through third-party providers.
